2020 Mystery Quilt details

President Jenny Draper is our designer/creator for the chapter’s annual Mystery Quilt event again. Hooray! It will take place on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 with the first clue at 10:30 a.m. For those who want to 'solve' the mystery sewing together, we will be meeting at 10:30 a.m. at the Little Turtle Branch Library at 2201 Sherman Ave., Fort Wayne. Free admission, bring your own lunch or  go to a restaurant nearby. There will be a break in the clues for lunch. For those sewing at home or elsewhere, you can see the clues on our chapter's GroupWorks site.

For this quilt, we are movng away from Jelly Rolls but continuing our love of pre-cuts and using Charm Squares instead. These 5" x 5" squares are available at most quilt shops as charm packs and usually have 42 squares in a pack. You will need 90 of the 5" charm squares in assorted colors as well as 1 1/2 yards of a light (white or cream) fabric for the background. Please make sure you have good contrast between the squares and the background.

You can purchase charm packs or you can cut your own charm squares from fabric you already have.

Please note that once again, the clues will be posted on our chapter's GroupWorks site. That way members will be able to see if there are questions & answers, etc.

Non-members please click here to go to our contact page if you would like to participate by email. You are also welcome to join us at the Little Turtle Branch Library at 10:30 a.m. for a day of quilting fun. Free admission, bring your lunch or join others at a nearby restaurant.
