2006 Annual Chapter Meeting
Our Annual Chapter Meeting was held on Saturday, October 28th at the Shoaff Park River Lodge. Besides the luncheon and a short business meeting, including Chapter Advisory Board elections, this was a special occasion for our chapter. This year we are "Celebrating 10 Years!" as a chapter.
The day was jam packed with sharing and celebrating. Every Neighborhood Group had a show and tell display with many lovely items created this year. We were treated to a "fashion show" of Civil War era clothing by the 30th Indiana Civil War Re-enactors and a presentation of creativity and inspiration by one of our members, who happens to be a Bernina Fashion Show winner for 2006. We also had a wonderful display of "bags" for our Chapter creativity contest, "It's in the Bag!". The "bag" could be anything from a lunch bag to an artful handbag. There were two categories, "Best Use of Embellishment" and "Best of Show". Also, this was the culmination of our year-long 10th anniversary celebration "Your Lucky Day" contest. The Grand Prize was a Janome Jem sewing machine donated by Edward's Sewing Center.
